Our projects
To fulfill its mission, ICEAL developed some cooperation projects with the Southern countries, particularly in Vietnam and in Burkina Faso.
Each project is based on the same philosophy : « Give a fish to a man and you will feed him for one day. Learn him how to fish and you will feed him for the whole life. » In other words, ICEAL projects aim to bring to the local poor populations the keys of their own development, giving them concrete and long term solutions to resolve their problems. In order to be succeed in identifying the really needs of countries on macroeconomic point of view , ICEAL rely on the European Commission’s Strategy Papers for the period 2007 – 2013... Our different teams are therefore mobilized in order to define the local needs and establish with our local partners , the projects to meet effectively the target.
Our projects in Vietnam
In spite of a draconian decrease of poverty in Vietnam since 2004, 19.5% of its population is still living under the limits of poverty . The principal needs consist of banking services, health insurance, education, and environmental protection . ICEAL is planning four projects to solve the problem :
(1) Microcredit to compensate banking system deficiency ;
(2) Amutual insurance to give major part of the population access to health care ;
(3) Training course to prevent illness ;
(4) La formation to increase Vietnamese skills and labor quality.
Our project in Burkina Faso
Burkina Faso is one of the poorest country with 42.4% of its population living under the poverty norms . The European Commission identified water and malnutrition as main problems. The Sahelian climate, very arid and seriously affected by the Global warming , is threatening agriculture , the main resource of local population. ICEAL is planning following projects :
(1) Drilling wells for better access to water ;
(2) Spiruline to fight against malnutrition.
